Requirements
Job Title: Tape Plant Operator
Job Summary:
The Tape Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing the production of polypropylene (PP) tapes used in the manufacturing of woven bags and FIBC products. The role involves operating monitoring and maintaining tape extrusion and related machinery ensuring consistent quality and optimizing production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor tape extrusion machines including die heads rollers and winding systems to produce high-quality PP tapes.
Adjust machine settings (speed tension temperature) to maintain required tape specifications and quality standards.
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials semi-finished and finished products to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on extrusion machines rollers and auxiliary equipment.
Record production data including machine performance material consumption and output quantities.
Identify and report any machine malfunctions or production issues to the maintenance or production supervisor.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies during all production activities.
Collaborate with quality control and production teams to maintain product consistency and efficiency.
Assist in the setup and start-up of new machines or production lines as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Tape Plant Operator or similar role in PP woven bag/FIBC manufacturing or polymer extrusion industry.
Good knowledge of tape extrusion processes machinery operation and control systems.
Ability to read technical drawings process parameters and machine manuals.
Hands-on experience in machine troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production targets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high-speed PP tape extrusion lines.
Knowledge of different PP tape grades and their applications in woven bags/FIBCs.
Understanding of quality control parameters in tape manufacturing (tensile strength width consistency elongation etc.).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and operate heavy machinery.
Ability to handle raw material rolls and other production-related equipment safely.
