Job Title: AC Technician
Job Summary:
The AC Technician is responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems in the plant to ensure a comfortable and safe working environment. The role supports uninterrupted operations and optimal working conditions for machinery and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Install maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems in the facility.
Conduct routine inspections of AC systems to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in HVAC systems including compressors condensers evaporators and ductwork.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on chillers split units packaged AC systems and related components.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency.
Maintain records of maintenance repairs and replacement of AC components.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs or installation of new systems.
Support other maintenance activities related to plant climate control when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as an AC Technician in industrial or manufacturing settings.
Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems refrigeration cycles and HVAC components.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in AC systems.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and best practices.
Good understanding of safety standards and practices in HVAC maintenance.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or diploma in HVAC refrigeration or related field.
Experience with large industrial AC systems in manufacturing plants.
Knowledge of environmental and energy efficiency practices in HVAC systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in standing bending or confined positions for extended periods.
Ability to lift and handle AC components tools and equipment safely.
Ability to work at heights when required for installation or maintenance.
