Job Overview:

The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for assembling installing maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and equipment within the shipyard and industrial facilities. The role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical fittings alignment and equipment installation. The candidate must ensure all mechanical works are completed safely accurately and in compliance with company standards and project specifications.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

Perform fitting assembly installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and components.

Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and technical specifications.

Carry out alignment balancing and adjustment of mechanical parts and machinery.

Dismantle and reassemble mechanical components for repair and maintenance purposes.

Inspect machinery piping and equipment to identify defects or wear and tear.

Work with hand tools power tools and precision measuring instruments.

Collaborate with welders fabricators and other team members to complete mechanical installations.

Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company HSE standards.

Report faults damages or irregularities to supervisors and assist in troubleshooting.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related trade.

Experience: Minimum 25 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter in shipyard industrial or construction sectors.

Gulf experience preferred.

Must have good knowledge of mechanical assembly installation and maintenance practices.

Ability to use measuring instruments like vernier calipers micrometers and dial gages.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment fitting.

Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and technical documents.

Good knowledge of safety practices and worksite protocols.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Teamwork discipline and time management skills.

Basic English communication; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
