Position Overview:

The Garden / Green Spaces Specialist is responsible for maintaining developing and enhancing outdoor green areas gardens and landscaped zones across the Company premises. The role ensures that all green spaces are safe sustainable visually appealing and aligned with environmental and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Landscaping and Garden Maintenance

Maintain lawns shrubs trees flowerbeds and decorative plants to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic presentation.
Perform grass cutting trimming pruning planting watering and weeding activities.
Apply fertilizers pesticides and herbicides as required ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

2. Design and Development

Assist in planning and designing new green areas or modifications to existing landscapes.
Recommend suitable plant species and irrigation methods based on local climate and sustainability principles.

3. Irrigation and Equipment Handling

Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use.
Maintain gardening tools and equipment in good working condition.
Report any breakdowns or issues requiring repair or replacement.

4. Environmental and Safety Compliance

Adhere to health safety and environmental guidelines during all landscaping and gardening activities.
Manage waste disposal from garden operations in an eco-friendly manner.

5. Coordination and Reporting

Collaborate with other maintenance teams and contractors to coordinate site-wide landscaping works.
Keep daily records of work performed materials used and observations related to plant health or environmental conditions.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience in Horticulture Landscaping Environmental Science or a related field.
Minimum 35 years of professional experience in landscaping horticulture or grounds maintenance.
Familiarity with local plant species and climate conditions in Oman/GCC region preferred.
Experience with irrigation systems landscaping equipment and sustainable gardening techniques.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of horticultural practices and plant care.
Ability to operate landscaping machinery and tools safely.
Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
Time management and multitasking ability.
Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Awareness of environmental sustainability and water conservation principles.

Working Conditions:

Outdoor work environment subject to weather conditions.
May require early morning weekend or seasonal overtime work.
Use of protective gear and adherence to safety standards is mandatory.

Performance Indicators:

Health and appearance of plants and green spaces.
Compliance with maintenance schedules.
Efficient use of resources (water fertilizers equipment).
