2. Pipe Fitter Education requirement: Fluent knowledge of English language (Speak Read and write). Secondary school certificate (10th standard) or high school certificate (12th standard) Trade training certificate from recognized institution (2 years ITI certificate as fitter). Experience certificate from process and Construction Company. Work Experience Minimum three years’ experience as a pipe fitter in a Petrochemical Oil & Gas plant. Ability to perform work independently. Typical plant experience will be an added advantage. Job Description (but not limited to) Reading of drawings and instructions and layout/installation of piping. Ability to work on static equipment. Basic knowledge of rotating equipment Valves etc. Knowledge of materials commonly used in chemical service: Pipes Valves : Fittings : : Size schedule and metallurgy Size type trim and metallurgy Gaskets Size type and installation : Sizes rating and type Knowledge of bolting gaskets etc. Ability to work at elevated heights. Able to inform supervisor concerning changes in drawings while performing work in order to update the drawings and technical acceptance. Have excellent knowledge of piping and related specifications i.e. schedule rating etc. Operate workshop mechanical equip i.e. grinding machine power saw etc. Operate all types of hoses and pneumatic addition to his normal jobs he should assist and participate in other maintenance activities. Will be subject to in-house training and toolbox meetings on safety quality improvement tools to participate in Company continuous improvement. Understand and apply the plant safety standards and maintenance procedures while performing work. Drive forklift and other mobile equipment as per Q-Chem regulations.
