CSS Lead Cloud Architect & AI specialist (Cairo)

As a member of Oracles Customer Success Services (CSS) organization your primary role will be to provide post-sales support and cutting-edge AI solutions to Oracles customer base while continuously advocating for their needs. You will be responsible for managing and supporting customer environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and offering expert guidance to design build and deploy intelligent solutions that optimize the performance availability and security of Oracle cloud environments.

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Lead Cloud Architect with a strong blend of architectural design implementation experience and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) skills across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking IT professional with at least 10 years of industry experience passionate about AI/ML and capable of independently addressing complex technical challenges. Prior experience in architecting and automating large-scale infrastructure solutions preferably on OCI or similar cloud platforms is essential.

The Lead Cloud Architect (LCA) & AI specialist will deliver best-in-class services to CSS customers running solutions on both private and public cloud environments.

• Collaborate with customers and Oracle Sales to capture business and industry requirements translating them into technical architectures aligned with Oracles best practices and service delivery standards.
• Apply industry and Oracle best practices to provide technical guidance on Oracle Cloud and generative AI solutions.
• Lead and influence architectural design capacity planning optimization and operation of customer solutions on OCI.
• Design and build scalable infrastructure to deploy generative AI models efficiently managing compute resources.
• Lead and mentor highly experienced CSS delivery teams providing technical governance and guidance.
• Maintain market awareness of competitor technologies as well as emerging industry trends.
• Play a leading role in automating cloud infrastructure implementations using the latest cloud capabilities.
• Support life cycle operations and maintenance activities in OCI.
• Drive initiatives to mitigate failures and troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack.
• Configure and tune system and network parameters for optimal performance.
• Monitor and ensure system stability and overall performance.
• Identify and implement enhancements for the health scalability and resiliency of cloud services.
• Document infrastructure architecture configurations standards and processes.
• Serve as the primary contact for new business opportunities supporting the CSS pre-sales team by identifying and promoting opportunities for Oracle products and services to support business growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field required.
• Enterprise Design/Architecture Framework experience (e.g. TOGAF) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior Cloud Architect delivering enterprise solutions or transformation programs ideally targeting cloud technologies
• Deep experience in various aspects of designing and provisioning Oracle Cloud services including architectural decisions overseeing security aspects and helping the team through the OCI transformation processes:
  • Architecture Design: Develop and design robust and scalable Oracle Cloud solutions based on business requirements ensuring optimal performance security and reliability.
  • Implementation: Lead the implementation and deployment of Oracle Cloud infrastructure services and applications following best practices and standards.
  • Cloud Migration: Collaborate with teams to plan and execute the migration of on-premises systems and applications to the Oracle Cloud platform.
  • Security Assurance: Ensure the security of Oracle Cloud environments by implementing and enforcing security policies access controls and encryption mechanisms.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize Oracle Cloud resources to enhance system performance responsiveness and cost efficiency.
• Proficient in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML):
  • Experience with GenAI machine learning data science language models (LLMs) and/or LangChain.
  • Proven ability to design build and deploy advanced machine learning or generative AI systemsespecially focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs) AI agents Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and large-scale search solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into robust AI or ML models.
• Strong experience with automation DevOps and GitOps practices including:
  • Container technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
  • Git-based source control systems (e.g. Bitbucket GitHub GitLab)
  • CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform Ansible)
  • Experience with cloud provider CI/CD offerings (e.g. OCI Azure AWS)
