About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Purchase Coordinator to join our team. This critical role is responsible for managing our procurement and sourcing activities requiring a candidate with a specific set of skills and experience. The ideal candidate will be a proactive negotiator with a strong background in our industry.
Key Responsibilities:
The Purchase Coordinator will be instrumental in driving our procurement strategy with key responsibilities centered around:
- Strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Conducting supplier negotiations to secure optimal terms.
- Managing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Collaborating with internal departments to fulfill material and service requirements.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
To be considered for this position candidates must unequivocally meet the following criteria:
- Education: Diploma graduate.
- Core Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in sourcing and supplier negotiation.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Oracle software is preferred.
- Professional Skills: Excellent communication organizational and negotiation skills.
- Industry Background: Demonstrable experience in the marine industrial or logistics industry. (Experience in the marine sector is highly preferred).
Availability: The candidate must be locally available and able to join immediately.
