Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and implementation of strategic plans for the development of hotels and new projects.
  • Supervising designs and executive drawings in coordination with local and international consultants.
  • Ensuring project compliance with international hotel brand standards.
  • Monitoring the implementation of projects and hotel renovations until final delivery.
  • Preparing timelines and budget plans and ensuring compliance with them.
  • Reviewing and approving price offers and tenders in coordination with the relevant departments.
  • Negotiating with contractors and consultants to obtain the best technical and financial terms.
  • Reviewing contracts claims and progress payments and ensuring that the executed works meet specifications.
  • Addressing disputes or comments from regulatory bodies according to contractual procedures.
  • Preparing the annual budgets for the engineering department and monitoring their implementation.
  • Analyzing project costs and proposing suggestions to improve spending efficiency.
  • Managing periodic maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with hotel technical standards.
  • Following on maintenance reports and periodic renovations for the affiliated hotels.
  • Approving replacement and renewal plans according to safety and operational efficiency priorities.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with internal departments operators and contractors.
  • Continuous coordination with the finance department and operations management to ensure plan integration.
  • Keeping up with the latest hotel development and project management technologies.
  • Proposing initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and reduce waste.

Personality & Skills

  • Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management and the use of related software applications.

  • Strong negotiation skills and solid financial analysis capabilities.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering codes and international hospitality standards.

  • Strong command of the English language both spoken and written.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (Architecture Civil or Mechanical).
  • Masters degree in projects management or real estate development is preferred.
  • 20 to 25 years of proven experience in Technical Development Management or Project Management within the hospitality or tourism investment sector.
