ملخص الوظيفة
Job Purpose:
To operate and maintain the boom truck safely and efficiently for lifting loading transporting and positioning materials and equipment within the sewage treatment plant premises ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the boom truck for lifting and shifting equipment materials and tools within the plant area as per supervisor instructions.
Ensure all lifting operations comply with plant safety regulations and Qatar traffic and safety laws.
Conduct pre-operation inspection of the vehicle and lifting equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the maintenance or safety department.
Assist maintenance and operation teams in handling heavy components such as pumps valves and mechanical parts.
Maintain daily operation logs inspection reports and lifting permits as required.
Ensure the boom truck is clean properly parked and secured after each operation.
Coordinate with site supervisors and rigging teams during lifting operations to ensure safety and precision.
Follow environmental and safety protocols especially while working within sewage and wastewater areas.
Participate in toolbox talks safety drills and regular equipment training sessions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Secondary school education or equivalent.
Valid Qatar Heavy Vehicle (HGV) driving license with boom truck endorsement.
Minimum 35 years of experience operating boom trucks preferably in sewage treatment plants utilities or construction sectors.
Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and rigging signals.
Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
Ability to understand and follow safety instructions in English (Arabic knowledge is a plus).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong awareness of health safety and environmental (HSE) practices.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsible alert and safety-conscious attitude.
Ability to work in outdoor and confined area environments.
Working Conditions:
Based at sewage treatment plant facilities with outdoor exposure.
May require shift work weekends or emergency response duties as per operational needs.
