Job Title: Senior Accountant Projects & Financial Supervision
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage project-related finances and oversee financial reporting and supervision for our operations in the construction/contracting sector. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills excellent command over Excel and a solid background in project-based accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor record and analyze project-related financial transactions in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
Prepare timely project-wise cost reports profitability statements and budget comparisons.
Collaborate with project managers to track budgets expenses and financial forecasts.
Conduct periodic financial supervision and internal audits of ongoing projects.
Ensure accuracy in accounting entries reconciliations and documentation for audit readiness.
Generate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor accounts payable/receivable related to project contracts and sub-contractors.
Assist in the preparation of cash flow projections and financial planning.
Support year-end closing activities and liaise with external auditors as required.
Suggest process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in an accounting role preferably within the construction or contracting industry.
Familiarity with project accounting practices and cost control methodologies.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables formulas data analysis etc.).
Strong working knowledge of accounting software/tools.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
