We are Wixs Backend Engineering Guild. We provide integrated tools for microservice development within Wix to help improve developer productivity and best practices. These tools streamline the development process and reduce cognitive load allowing Wix Engineers to concentrate on their domain architecture and business logic. To handle high-scale traffic (over 500B HTTP requests per day) and 500 daily deployments our team of 500 Backend Engineers runs production across 19 distributed data centers and cloud vendors worldwide.
*At Wix our work model is hybrid with 4 days a week from our North Tel Aviv Campus and 1 day of remote work from home; please make sure this fits your preferences before moving forward.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer ideally with Scala or server-side technologies
- Passionate about designing scalable distributed systems with a focus on resilience performance and clean maintainable code and comfortable working in production environments
- Strong communication skills in both Hebrew and English with a willingness to help others-our service supports thousands of engineers at Wix
- Proactive in understanding why things are done the way they are and always striving to improve
- Great interpersonal skills a good sense of humor and a highly motivated collaborative mindset
