Job Title: Piping Inspector (with Rotating Equipment Experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Piping Inspector with expertise in both piping systems and rotating equipment inspection for petrochemical construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience (preferably in Saudi Arabia) especially in SABIC-approved projects. Candidates must be well-versed in international piping inspection standards construction workflows and quality compliance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspection of piping systems components and rotating equipment installations as per approved specifications and standards.
Review and interpret piping isometrics P&IDs and equipment datasheets to ensure conformance to project requirements.
Monitor welding fit-up and hydrotesting activities ensuring adherence to applicable codes and procedures.
Verify correct material usage heat numbers MTCs and alignment with bill of materials.
Conduct dimensional checks visual inspections and final system walkthroughs with construction and QA/QC teams.
Liaise with construction teams to ensure readiness for inspections and resolve any issues related to non-conformities.
Participate in rotating equipment alignment checks flange management and final bolt torquing verification.
Maintain and update inspection reports punch lists and quality records for client audits and handovers.
Ensure strict compliance with SABIC or other client-specific quality systems and safety standards.
Coordinate with third-party inspectors and attend witness or hold-point inspections as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Piping Inspector in the Gulf region especially in petrochemical plant construction.
Strong knowledge of construction standards (e.g. ASME API ASTM).
Experience working with or inspecting rotating equipment (e.g. pumps compressors turbines).
SABIC project experience or approval is highly preferred.
