ASIC Test Engineer, Annapurna Silicon Operations

Annapurna Labs develops the silicon used in our most advanced machine learning accelerator servers utilizing the latest process nodes and massively scaled server clusters to provide the best hardware platform to customers for both inference and training workloads.

We are seeking a mid-career semiconductor test engineer with a background in classic ATE platforms to create a clean running extremely low DPPM product-line forming the foundation to our servers.
As our final product is a server not just the silicon you will find yourself stretching beyond structural testing and incorporating a lot more mission profile testing utilizing a variety of external controlling ICs porting server management and customer run-time software including the use of virtualized machines and specific microcontrollers found in the end application.

As such a curious mindset and an urge to learn system architecture will greatly benefit you in this role. We are a nurturing and supporting group that will ensure you have access to all tools code and mentorship needed to become effective in this exciting new way of working!

Key job responsibilities
Core deliverables you will be responsible for:
-Hardware development for probe final test system level test.
-Software development for each insert
-General tool development support

A day in the life
As you design and code solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software architecture youll create metrics implement automation and other improvements and resolve the root cause of software defects. Youll also:
- Build high-impact solutions to deliver to our large customer base.
- Participate in design discussions code review and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input.
- Work in a startup-like development environment where youre always working on the most important stuff.

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience identifying bugs in architecture algorithms functionality and performance with strong overall debugging skills
- Experience verifying at multiple levels of logic from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing

- Masters degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field
- Experience with formal verification techniques including abstraction and end-to-end checking
- Experience with ARM and various DSP ISAs
- Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G NR) WiMAX 802.11ad microwave backhaul or related broadband wireless standards
- Experience with industry standard tools and scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation
