The Subsystem Technical Leader is an experienced professional in mechanical and product design responsible for leading the development integration and validation of complex subsystems (plastic mechanical electrical or hybrid).
They ensure technical consistency across design simulation manufacturing and validation teams while maintaining compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
Qualifications :
You have a masters degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering Product Design or related field with 810 years of experience in product design system integration or mechanical development ideally within the automotive railway or aerospace industries. A proven track record in technical leadership and cross-functional coordination in international environments and a specialization in Plastics Engineering CAD Design or Technical Project Management is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PLM and CAD Systems: CATIA V5/V6 ENOVIA Teamcenter Unigraphics or equivalent.
- Advanced experience in 3D and 2D modeling of complex components.
- In-depth knowledge of plastic component design and manufacturing especially injection molding processes including draft angle optimization parting-line definition undercuts and slide mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of plastic joining and assembly techniques such as welding bonding and snap-fit processes.
- Expertise in GD&T and tolerance analysis following ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS standards ensuring precision and manufacturability.
- Solid background in vehicle or subsystem integration especially within interior chassis or structural architecture.
- Experience with design validation DFMEA functional analysis and design review processes.
Soft Skills
- Technical Leadership ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure project technical coherence.
- Excellent communication skills capable of working fluently in English across global teams.
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset structured problem-solving and decision-making.
