To manage and oversee the engineering installation and integration of instrumentation systems for the QRH (Qatar Residual Heat) and BAS (Building Automation System) ensuring full compliance with QatarEnergy requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage instrumentation engineering and installation activities for QRH and BAS systems.
Handle signal cabling PLC integration and ensure proper interface with telecom systems.
Review and approve vendor documentation drawings and technical submissions.
Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Lead and perform loop checks and ensure system functionality.
Supervise instrument technicians during installation testing and commissioning phases.
Ensure full integration and compatibility with QatarEnergy control system requirements.
Maintain compliance with IEC standards and Qatar regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to align project timelines and quality.
Prepare and maintain documentation including inspection reports test records and as-built drawings.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 5 8 years of relevant experience in instrumentation projects preferably in the oil & gas or energy sector.
Strong experience in PLC integration loop checking and field instrumentation installation.
Knowledge of IEC standards and QatarEnergy specifications.
Hands-on experience in managing FAT/SAT and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication documentation and coordination skills.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 8 years of experience in instrumentation engineering within oil & gas, utilities, or industrial automation sectors. Proven experience with PLC systems, loop checking, and FAT/SAT procedures. Strong understanding of IEC standards, QatarEnergy specifications, and control system integration. Hands-on experience with field instrumentation, signal cabling, and system interfaces. Effective communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
