ALFA is recruiting a Lead Accountant to handle several stimulating responsibilities. Responsibilities:

Maintain precise financial records including ledgers and accounts payable/receivable.
Process payroll efficiently handling taxes and deductions accurately.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial transactions meticulously.
Provide insightful financial information and recommendations to management.
Develop accounting processes controls and lead a team of accounting specialists effectively.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role with at least 2 years in a senior position.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to manage small portfolios and deadlines effectively.
Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks Xero Sage and Netsuite)
Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lead a team successfully
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of accounting principles controls and tax regulations.
Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and French
