Responsibilities
Perform rigging activities for lifting positioning and securing loads using slings shackles hooks and other lifting accessories.
Operate EOTC cranes to transport materials across designated areas within the shipyard or fabrication zones.
Inspect lifting gear and crane components before use to ensure safety and functionality.
Interpret lifting plans load charts and communicate effectively with signalmen and supervisors.
Ensure proper load balancing and secure attachment of rigging equipment.
Maintain clear communication during lifting operations using hand signals or radio communication.
Assist in assembling and disassembling rigging setups as per job requirements.
Adhere to safety protocols and participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
Report any equipment malfunctions safety hazards or incidents immediately.
Support other lifting and logistics activities as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications
Diploma or technical certificate.
Valid Rigger certification (Level 1 or 2) from recognized authority.
Valid EOTC Crane Operator license/certification.
Minimum 35 years of experience in rigging and crane operations preferably in shipyard or industrial settings.
Basic knowledge of HSE practices and lifting regulations.
