Lead Mechanical Engineer (Static)

Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)
Location: Doha Qatar
Client: One of the leading Oil & Gas consultants in Qatar

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned mechanical engineering work as per the project scope reporting to the Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform conceptual FEED and detailed engineering and design as per design basis project specifications and client procedures.
Be familiar with relevant design and analysis software.
Prepare and/or perform the following deliverables as per project scope:
- Mechanical Data Sheet
- Equipment Specifications
- Material Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase
- Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and Tabulation
- Vendor Document Review (VDR)
- Design calculations as per applicable international standards like API 650 API 620 ASME Sec VIII div 1 and 2
- Equipment GAD Nozzle orientation drawing detailed fabrication drawing (as applicable in scope)
Possess working knowledge of SHELL DEP (preferred).
Have experience in attending progress reviews design reviews and clarification meetings with the client.

Qualifications & Experience:

A professional degree in Mechanical Engineering.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
Strong background in design engineering including performing conceptual FEED and detailed engineering.
QatarEnergy Refinery-related project execution experience is preferred.

Note: We will only consider profiles with a focus on design engineering. Profiles related to maintenance/supervisor or site-related are not considered for this position.
