We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the cost management and commercial administration of infrastructure projects such as roads utilities and civil engineering works. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time within budget and in compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates budgets and tender documentation for infrastructure projects.
- Administer contracts including NEC FIDIC or JCT forms of contract (as applicable).
- Perform cost control value engineering and risk analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct monthly valuations progress claims and final accounts.
- Evaluate and negotiate variations change orders and claims.
- Liaise with project managers engineers contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely payments and closeouts.
- Produce accurate cost reports and forecasting for senior management.
- Support in bid preparation and provide commercial input during tendering.
- Maintain contractual records and documentation.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 6 years experience in quantity surveying preferably on infrastructure/civil engineering projects.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with NEC FIDIC or JCT contracts (depending on region).
- Strong knowledge of cost control procurement and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel CANDY CostX or similar QS software.
- Excellent communication negotiation and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
