Purpose of the Role:
Serve as the single point of contact between the company and clients for the effective planning execution control and close-out of regional projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time within budget to contractual technical quality and commercial expectations while maximising profitability mitigating risk and enhancing client satisfaction.

Role Overview:
The Regional Projects Manager leads the end-to-end project lifecycle: planning (scope risk budget schedule) organising resources staffing and coaching Project Leaders directing execution monitoring performance controlling deviations driving innovation and representing the company with clients consultants suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review new contracts to confirm they represent the sole binding agreement and that special commitments are costed.
  • Delegate projects to appropriate Project Engineers/Project Leaders based on complexity and capacity.
  • Define project scope objectives success criteria and evaluation measures.
  • Identify risks and financial exposures; develop risk and contingency plans.
  • Establish project governance: internal and external kick-off meetings progress review cadence.
  • Ensure completion of initial documentation: Project Summary List Risk Management Plan Project Plan (tasks dependencies durations) Budget / Cost Baseline.
  • Lead the Projects section to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Set individual goals manage performance give formal and informal feedback and develop and motivate staff.
  • Ensure the organisational structure supports optimal resource utilisation and effective communication.
  • Provide active support to Project Leaders in coordinating engineering drafting technical support production logistics site services handover and close-out.
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings; ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Track progress against schedule and cost baselines; drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate timely project data and reports.
  • Financial & Commercial Management
  • Monitor project financial performance (cost margin cash flow) versus plan; act promptly on deviations.
  • Oversee invoice preparation submission and collection according to milestones; ensure alignment with sales and cash flow targets.
  • Negotiate variations/change orders to maximise profitability.
  • Provide pricing strategies for client-driven scope changes.
  • Ensure each project is financially controlled and regularly reviewed (at least monthly).
  • Implement and monitor risk mitigation and control measures.
  • Ensure conformance to technical contractual quality accreditation installation and delivery standards.
  • Drive early identification of potential delays; escalate and resolve proactively.
  • Ensure all departments execute to a unified integrated plan.
  • Act as single-point contact for clients consultants suppliers and third parties.
  • Maintain strong client relationships; clarify uncertainties early.
  • Lead external progress and coordination meetings.
  • Leverage customer relationships to support strategic outcomes and repeat business
  • Review and verify cost estimates and forecasts monthly.
  • Provide transparent reporting on schedule cost scope changes risk status resource utilisation productivity and quality performance.
  • Analyse variances and implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Monitor manpower allocation and productivity; optimise deployment across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and capability for current and forecast workload.
  • Promote process productivity and profitability improvements across the organisation.
  • Convert strategic goals into executable project and program roadmaps.
  • Encourage innovation in delivery methods tools and controls.
  • Capture Lessons Learned and ensure institutionalisation.
  • Oversee technical commercial contractual and financial closure (including BAAN or ERP system closure).
  • Ensure 100% documentation completion final acceptance full collections and Lessons Learned reports.
  • Validate that all variations are settled and reported.

Qualifications Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • PMP (or equivalent project management certification) preferred.

Experience:

  • 10 years of progressively responsible project management experience (multi-project / portfolio environment).
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex contract-driven industrial or engineering projects
  • Contract Law familiarity and contract administration proficiency.
  • Hands-on project and program management (scope schedule cost quality risk procurement stakeholder management).
  • Financial mastery: budgeting forecasting margin management cash flow variation pricing.
  • Customer relationship management and negotiation.
  • Project Risk Management (identification qualitative/quantitative assessment response planning control).
  • Strategic execution and portfolio alignment.
  • In-depth knowledge of company products processes accreditations delivery installation and quality procedures; logistics coordination.
  • Strong team leadership coaching and motivational ability.
  • Effective communicator and negotiator.
  • Ability to align execution with fast-changing market demands.
  • Relationship building with management teams clients partners and vendors.
  • Portfolio prioritisation and resource optimisation across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to articulate project/program value within economic and risk context.
  • Strategy-to-execution conversion.
  • Organisational design for execution excellence.
  • Fostering a project-centric culture.
