Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Muscat Sultanate of Oman
Nestled in between the dramatic backdrop of rugged mountains and the pristine waters of the Sea of Oman Shangri-Las Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa is set on 124 acres of stunning scenery and home to three spectacular hotels: the family orientated Al Waha comprises 262 rooms the diverse Al Bandar comprises 198 deluxe rooms and the luxurious and most exclusive Al Husn has 180 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites. The resort also features 22 Food and Beverage outlets 1056 sqm ballroom with 8 breakout rooms wide variety of recreational facilities and a spa with 12 treatment villas.
The Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms ensuring a high standard of hygiene comfort and presentation is maintained. This role plays a vital part in delivering a welcoming and memorable stay experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean tidy and service guest rooms daily following hotel brand standards.
- Make beds replace linens clean bathrooms dust furniture and replenish amenities.
- Report any maintenance issues missing items or room damage to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure all rooms meet cleanliness standards before guest check-in.
- Restock housekeeping trolleys with linens toiletries and cleaning supplies.
- Handle guest belongings with care and respect guest privacy at all times.
- Respond to guest requests and queries in a polite and efficient manner.
- Follow health hygiene and safety regulations including proper chemical handling.
- Adhere to hotel policies procedures and grooming standards.
- Support linen and laundry operations as needed.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping and maintenance team members for smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Physically fit and able to lift bend and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of English; other language skills are a plus.
- Attention to detail efficiency and strong time-management skills.
- Friendly courteous and respectful toward guests and colleagues.
- Willingness to work in shifts weekends and holidays.
