Job Summary:
We are seeking a System Integration Engineer to manage and optimize integrations across multiple third-party vendors and internal systems. This role involves gathering requirements documenting integrations and workflows and working closely with the development team to ensure seamless data exchange and automation. The ideal candidate will also act as a Business Analyst (BA) for Integrations when needed collaborating with stakeholders to understand technical and business needs while ensuring that integration solutions align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement system integrations using automation tools.
Develop real-time and scheduled data transfer processes ensuring secure and efficient system connectivity.
Work with various APIs web services and file-based integrations to facilitate data exchange between systems.
Diagnose and resolve integration issues focusing on break-fix solutions and long-term reliability improvements.
Work directly with business stakeholders to understand data needs and integration requirements.
Translate business needs into technical solutions ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical teams.
Assess available data sources and recommend integration strategies including real-time API connections or alternative solutions.
Effectively communicate technical capabilities limitations and recommendations to business users.
Document detailed functional and technical requirements for the technical and BA teams team ensuring alignment with best practices.
Maintain industry-standard documentation including data flow diagrams integration specifications process workflows and API usage guidelines.
Ensure integration documentation is up-to-date and accessible for relevant teams.
Monitor troubleshoot and support existing integrations ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline data flow across systems.
Ensure integrations comply with data security privacy and governance policies.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in computer science related engineering or equivalent work experience.
2 years of experience in .Net NodeJs & Javascript.
2 years of experience in system integrations or related fields.
Hands-on experience with automated integration tools (e.g. n8n Zapier Mulesoft Boomi Workato or similar).
Strong understanding of APIs data transformation concepts and workflow automation.
Experience working with JSON XML RESTful APIs and authentication protocols (OAuth JWT etc.).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong documentation skills maintaining industry-standard technical and functional requirements.
Experience with log monitoring and troubleshooting integration issues.
Familiarity with SQL and databases.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with cloud-based data solutions (Azure GCP or AWS).
Knowledge of SQL ETL processes and data modeling best practices.
Background in data governance security best practices and compliance regulations.
Familiarity with DevOps principles CI/CD pipelines.
