Tasks
Job Summary:
As an Information Technology Support Specialist you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees and clients. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues manage IT projects and contribute to the maintenance of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first-line support for hardware software and network issues via phone email or in-person.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computers servers and network equipment.
- Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure new hardware and software applications ensuring compatibility and compliance with company standards.
- User Training: Assist in training staff on the use of software applications and IT services providing guidance on best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues resolutions and user requests in the ticketing system.
- IT Projects: Participate in IT projects including system upgrades installations and migrations ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Security Compliance: Assist in maintaining IT security protocols and policies to safeguard company data and networks.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage IT inventory including hardware and software licenses ensuring availability and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to improve service delivery and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware software applications and networking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or similar are a plus.
