Purpose of the Job
Perform aluminothermic welding on grooved rail systems to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Execute welding tasks related to the maintenance repair and installation of grooved rails on railway tracks.
- Conduct thorough inspections before and after welding to ensure alignment with industry standards and project specifications.
- Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities including completed welds inspections and any issues encountered during the process.
- Work closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure that welding tasks align with project timelines and objectives.
- Ensure all welding equipment is properly maintained calibrated and in goodworking order.
Candidate Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic English Level / A1-A2
Desired Knowledge / Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in aluminothermic welding specifically with grooved rails in a railway environment.
- Valid and traceable certifications in aluminothermic welding from recognized authorities.
- Proficiency in using welding equipment tools and materials specific to aluminothermic welding and grooved rail systems
- Strong understanding of railway track systems grooved rail welding techniques and safety regulations.
- Additional certifications in related welding techniques or track work. Previous experience working on large-scale railway projects.
