سيتم تحديثك بأحدث تنبيهات الوظائف عبر البريد الإلكترونيThe Radio Transmission Technician is responsible for the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of radio and telecommunications systems used for operational and emergency communication in oil and gas facilities. This includes VHF UHF HF TETRA microwave links and satellite communication systems.
Install commission and maintain radio communication systems including VHF UHF HF TETRA and microwave links.
Monitor system performance and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on radio and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair faults in transmission and receiving equipment.
Ensure all communications equipment complies with industry and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities faults equipment configurations and firmware versions.
Coordinate with IT instrumentation and HSE teams to ensure system integrity and compliance.
Test and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Support communication during emergency drills and actual emergency events.
Ensure all communication equipment is suitable and certified for hazardous environments (e.g. ATEX IECEx).
Assist in radio frequency planning spectrum analysis and interference resolution.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist in procurement planning.
Education & Certifications:
Diploma or Technical Degree in Electronics Telecommunications or a related field.
Certification in RF communications Motorola ICOM Kenwood or similar systems is an asset.
Offshore Survival (BOSIET/HUET) H2S and Medical Certification (for offshore roles).
Experience:
Minimum 3 5 years of hands-on experience in radio communications in Oil & Gas or critical infrastructure industries.
Experience with analog and digital radio systems TETRA networks and microwave/satellite systems.
Skills:
Strong understanding of radio frequency (RF) propagation and communication protocols.
Proficiency in using radio test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzers RF wattmeters VSWR meters).
Knowledge of hazardous area classification and intrinsically safe equipment.
Good understanding of communication system integration with PA/GA SCADA and emergency response systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently in remote or offshore environments.
Role may require working in offshore remote or confined environments.
Must be physically fit and able to use PPE in hazardous conditions.
May involve rotational work schedules (e.g. 14/14 or 28/28 offshore).
