Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer
Job Location: Tunis Tunisia
Reports to: Software Engineering Director
Key interactions: Data Science / Marketing Analytics / Sales department / Marketing Department
Role Description:
Were looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to help drive the development of powerful backend systems that support our products and users. Youll lead backend efforts collaborate across departments and ensure the delivery of highquality scalable software solutions.
What Youll Do:
Analyse user requirements and contribute to backend architecture and planning.
Design develop and maintain backend services with Java.
Write and maintain technical documentation.
Ensure efficient integration and optimization of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Collaborate with frontend developers to connect serverside and userfacing components.
Identify manage and resolve technical issues and bugs.
Contribute to designing scalable highquality software components.
Work with crossfunctional teams to align development with business goals.
Support continuous improvement of software development processes.
Stay current with backend trends and assess new technologies.
What Were Looking For:
35 years of backend development experience
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to implement sophisticated mathematical algorithms in backend systems
Advanced programming skills with strong knowledge of objectoriented concepts design patterns SOLID principles and multitier architectures
Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices (Agile version control unit testing TDD)
Experience with database integration and optimization (SQL and NoSQL)
Strong leadership time management critical thinking and problemsolving abilities
Ability to work independently and deliver highquality results under tight deadlines
Clear communicator with both technical and nontechnical audiences (English proficiency is a plus)
Educational Background :
Bachelors degree in software engineering or a related field
