In this internship the GA SABAP Cluster Substation Automation Junior Engineer executes Digital Control System (DCS) engineering activities for the activities/projects assigned. This role involves the of project design activities in line with the Engineering Process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of design engineering activities/projects assigned.

The Early Career Training is an investment in young talents where GE trains fresh graduates who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a GE business. The traineeship duration varies upon business requirement and will develop the general skills of the trainee and provide on the job knowledge and technical experience. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts methods and procedures.

• Execute the DCS Engineering activities for the projects assigned considering the quality/Cost/ time.
• Liaise with other members of a multidisciplinary team to specify and design the project whilst meeting the required technical standards.
• Preparation of all applicable production documentations needed for panels integration.
• Ensure ontime delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including partner documents.
• Validate design throughout customer acceptanceand check consistency of engineering documents before final release to customerwhile managing evolution of customer requirements & associated impacts.
• Support site organization during site preparation and commissioning stage when requiredand ensure compliance with Quality Procedures work instructions and processes defined at Unit and project level.
• Support factory during FAT preparation and conduct internal validation followed by customer FAT to ensure successful project delivery.
• Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention.
• Effectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and to build and maintain customer intimacy.

What youll bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Basic experience in substation automation projects.
• Ability to understand/prepare design documents for substation automation projects.
• Ability to prepare substation automation configuration/database
• Ability to conduct FAT with reference to project specification
• Good understanding of substation automation communication protocols
• Good oral / written communication skills in English and/or Arabic
• Ability and willingness to travel across the region without limitation.
