About this Job
QSourcing Limited trading as QSourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Tanzania Uganda Kenya Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of one of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Port Supevisor
Reporting To: PORT OPERATIONS MANAGER 1/ C & F OPERATIONS MANAGER 2 E.A.L.S LIMITED
Department: C& F OPERATIONS
Job Location: Dar es Salaam
Objective: Coordination of port operations activities.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities.
Coordinate activities and ensure smooth coordination between truck movements announcement with TPA and lifting operations performed by TPA.
Manage truck flow within the port area.
Ensure Smooth and on time discharge of chartered vessel.
Monitoring of Thirdparty surveyor in charge of statement of fact and cargo inspection.
Monitoring of stevedoring activities Truck flow management inside the port for line pipes cargo loaded directly from vessel to port as well as other break bulk cargo.

Coordination of trucks movement announcement with TPA
Ensure that subcontractor complies with EALS lifting procedure and alert on subcontractor s deviations.
Coordinate clearing activities at the Port/ICD: Coordination of Cargo inspection with Customs collection of thirdparty receipts for delivered files to be sent to Head office within 12 hours of document issuance Custom release order etc.
Lead time: speed of loading speed of trucks release speed of documentation collection speed of cargo inspection in PTS etc.
Allocate daily duties to respective port operation clerks.
Ensure that truck inspections are carried out before cargo is loaded and after trucks are loaded.
Ensure that the tracking software is used properly for all cargo deliveries. (Link Mobile and PTS)
Participate to all safety training as required
Adhere to all HSE requirements of the project.
Manage discharge of chartered vessel.
Ensure that all activities performed by EALS are aligned with HSE requirements and alert the Port Operations about any security and safety concerns.
Any other tasks assigned by Management during vessel operations and outside vessel operations including tasks outside Port area.

5 years experience at a supervisory level

Good Communicator
Diploma or above in Shipping Port Management Transport & Logistics or any other related discipline
