الوصف الوظيفي
The Health Science Student Tech (HSST) is enrolled in an accredited health program and has successfully completed fundamentals or equivalent coursework. The HSST is assigned to a Registered Nurse to provide patient care. The ultimate responsibility for patient care is the responsibility of the Registered Nurse.
The Health Science Student Tech will be able to perform clinical skills (see competency list) and assist with the patients plan of care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The HSST will NOT administer any medications initiate or administer any IV or arterial therapy hang blood or blood components or transcribe physician orders.
Skills Required: Requires intense attention and concentration. Basic computer skills which may be obtained thru on the job training. Good visual verbal and hearing skills and analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types and ages is necessary; ability to deal with diverse cultural backgrounds (i.e. Southeast Asia Greek Hispanic).

Education Required: Currently enrolled in an accredited Health Science Program and has successfully completed fundamentals or equivalent coursework.
