Requirements
- Medical Degree:Specialist Qualification in Emergency Medicine.
- Licenses: Valid medicallicense to practice as an Emergency Medicine Physician in the designatedlocation.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 1 year of postresidency experience in Emergency Medicine practice including clinicalrotations fellowships or equivalent training.
- Clinical Skills: Proficient inmanaging a wide range of acute medical conditions and traumatic injuriescommonly encountered in the emergency department including but not limited tocardiac emergencies respiratory emergencies trauma sepsis and neurologicalemergencies.
- Diagnostic Expertise: Skilled inconducting rapid assessments performing diagnostic procedures andinterpreting diagnostic tests such as imaging studies electrocardiograms(ECGs) and laboratory tests.
- Emergency Procedures: Competent inperforming emergency procedures including but not limited to airwaymanagement vascular access wound management fracture reductions andresuscitation techniques.
- Critical Care Skills: Ability tostabilize critically ill or injured patients and initiate appropriateresuscitation measures in the emergency setting.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Strongcommunication and collaboration skills to work effectively withmultidisciplinary teams including nurses paramedics specialists and otherhealthcare professionals.
- Ethical and Professional Conduct: Uphold the higheststandards of ethical and professional conduct in patient care decisionmakingand all aspects of medical practice.
- Adaptability: Flexibility toadapt to changing patient volumes acuity levels and clinical scenarios in theemergency department.
