Patient Attendant

Job Description

• Provide certain direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Assist in transferring and moving of patients
• Assist in transporting laboratory samples
• Assist in bed making
• Assist in transferring, collecting and organizing medical and non-medical supplies and FFE
• Assist in cleaning of medical equipment and furniture
• Maintenance and monitoring of oxygen cylinders
• Transmit and collect files and documents to medical records
• Transport and collect CSSD materials and equipment from the departments
• Files and maintains records so that they are orderly and easy to find
• Assists with the maintenance of the database and filing system, both electronic and hard copy
• Performs other duties as delegated by the Supervisor
• Support the delivery of patient care and customer service by providing administrative support to the department or section as required

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to do rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night)
• Must be able to use a computer and perform basic computer tasks
• Must attend all mandatory health and safety training courses
• Must be reliable and adaptive to emergency situations
• Language skills:
