Operations Assistant / Data Analyst
Location: Remote (Egypt preferred)
Employment Type: Fulltime 40 hours/week)
Salary: $1000 per month
Company Overview
Our client is a data collection and analysis platform that works with government tourism authorities to provide valuable tourism insights. We are a lean fastgrowing team looking for a techsavvy Operations Assistant / Data Analyst to help streamline data processes improve data quality and support our engineering team.
Role Overview
We are seeking an analytical and detailoriented Operations Assistant / Data Analyst to manage data formatting validation and analysis. This individual will play a key role in supporting our engineers by handling support tickets related to data quality issues and providing actionable tourism insights based on collected data.
The data analysis will focus on hotels and restaurants generating reports that will be submitted to the tourism government wings of Qatar Bahrain and Abu Dhabi to support tourism growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Format clean and validate large data files in Excel/CSV
- Identify and resolve data quality issues before they reach engineers
- Analyze hospitality and tourismrelated data to identify trends and insights
- Utilize AI tools (Claude ChatGPT Cursor) to enhance data processing and analysis
- Provide general operational support to the team
- Collaborate with the technical team to streamline processes and workflows
- Prepare reports on hotel and restaurant performance for government tourism authorities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Excel/CSV (including formulas pivot tables and data structuring)
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Experience with data formatting and validation
- Basic data analysis and ability to identify trends
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT Claude or Cursor
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the hospitality or tourism industry
- Previous experience in a startup or fastpaced environment
- Understanding of hotel and restaurant performance metrics
Tech Stack
- Excel/CSV for data handling
- AI tools (Claude ChatGPT Cursor) for analysis and automation nice to have bonus can be learnt on the job
