Import Specialist

About the Job

We are a leading trading company that specializes in importing food additives and ingredients. Our company is family owned and has been established since 1988. Throughout our 32 years in the business, we have built a strong cliental of multinational FMCGs and local food manufacturers.

We are currently looking to hire a self driven & detail oriented personnel that will be responsible for our import cycle end-to-end. This cycle starts right after a purchase order is issued to our supplier and ends with the goods being received at our warehouses.

What will you do?

• Have up-to -date knowledge of import regulations in Egypt related to our field of business.
• Have up-to-date knowledge of different freight charges for different shipping lines that will impact the product's landed cost and accordingly nominate the shipping line for every purchase to drive savings.
• Manage suppliers accounts and co-ordinate with the accounting department regarding any necessary transactions.
• Manage third party clearance team(s) and co-ordinate with the accounting department regarding any necessary transactions.
• Review and confirm the accuracy and completeness of the required set of documents for every shipment.
• Follow-up on clearance process with clearance team and report internally on the progress.
• Track all in transit shipments and send daily vessels report for all stakeholders.
• Come up with innovative solutions to reduce expenses related to clearance procedure, freight cost & in-land transportation cost from ports of arrival to our warehouses.
