Transportation Division Manager Lead

• Create a culture of teamwork and constant growth while leading and motivating a group of transportation professionals.
  
• Create and carry out strategic plans to improve our transportation divisions performance and efficiency.
  
• To ensure effective coordination of transportation activities.
  
• To enhance operational efficiency overall and to improve delivery schedules expenses and costs.
  
• Oversee the operation of our fleet of vehicles including maintenance schedules adherence to safety standards and performance requirements.
  
• To find areas for process improvement put greater efficiency techniques into practice and promote improvements in overall performance evaluate transportation data and indicators.
  
• To maintain compliance and look for opportunities for growth develop good relationships with other parties.
  
• Keep updated with new market trends the latest technologies and best practices that encourage creativity within the transportation division.
  
• Establish and enforce policies related to safe transportation practices and adherence to all corporate and industry rules.
  
• Present important performance metrics issues and strategic recommendations in regular reports and updates to management.
  

• A bachelors degree in business logistics supply chain management or another closely associated field.
  
• A track record of at least 2 years spent in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  
• Comprehension of transportation operations including load planning route optimization and carrier management.
  
• Strong leadership skills with the capacity to inspire and develop an eclectic group.
  
• Proficiency in data analysis and the use of appropriate technology.
  
• Broad understanding of the transportation industrys best practices industry compliance and safety requirements.
  
• Powerful analytical and problemsolving skills as well as the ability to make wise decisions in a changing environment.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the ability to engage successfully at all organizational levels.
