Inbound Logistics Specialist

This position reports into the Customer Service Lead and is based in Jeddah KSA.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract of 1 year.

What You Will Do

As inbound logistics specialist you will be responsible to ensure that all J&J Shipments entering KSA are cleared and delivered to J&J warehouses in an efficient and compliant manner.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract of 1 year.

• Overview day to day operations resolving issues ensuring that shipments are cleared and delivered in a perfect and a compliant manner.

• Work with CLS CoE to evaluate and select carriers as well as to negotiate terms and charges.

• Define SOPs and work with all parties ensuring that they deliver the services as per the terms agreed more in particular with Transportation carriers (Sea road & Air) and Customs brokerage (Sea road & Air).

• Logistics Services Provider (LSPs) Management:

o Ensure all LSPs are following the right billing process.

o Ensure all LSPs are paid on time.

o Resolve all payments issues with the GBS team.

o Perform the monthly GRN/accruals process in Ariba.

o Manage the performance of the LSP through KPIs reviews gap analysis and action planning.

• Budget management:

o Develop and maintain robust tracking of freight demurrage/detention and duty spend perform data analysis to spot emerging issues and develop bottom up budgets based on planned activity.

o Maintain and monitor freight rates and evaluate/approve ad hoc charges.

o Supervise the freight audit process.

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to the quality agreements security requirements and other company or local policies and regulations.

• Maintain full visibility of shipments for all inbound cargo to ensure minimal leadtime and zero demurrage/detention expense.

• Initiate improvement projects design processes and perform process health checks throughout the IBF flow.

What We Are Looking For

• University degree in Engineering Business Management or similar.

• 5 years experience in a Supply Chain function.

• Understanding of warehousing and distribution concepts language and best practices.

• Experience in inbound logistics and customs clearance process in KSA.

• Fluency in both English and Arabic.

• Experience working with quantitative & qualitative numbers creating reports.

• Expert in Excel Skilled enough in Word and Power point.
