Synergy Management Group is a premier boutique consulting firm that specializes in providing outsourced/fractional corporate finance and growth strategy consulting services to institutional investors (private equity & venture capital) portfolio companies and growing businesses across various industries. We partner with our clients to evaluate design execute and maximize growth opportunities in sourcing diligence operations/value creation and exit.

Client work is primarily remote/virtual and includes: Financial Planning Analysis and Modeling Valuations & Capital Raising Financial Commercial & Operational Due Diligence Competitive Strategy BuySide & SellSide Advisory Mergers & Acquisitions Fractional CFO & Executive (or Interim) Leadership Operations Performance Improvement Turnaround & Restructuring Growth Strategy PostMerger Integration.


Partnership Opportunity:

This is a partner track role initially structured as a remote contract position.

Role Overview:

This is a remote contract position a whirlwind 2to3week sprint a trial run designed to test your mettle in the arena of dealmaking. Can you close that one transformative deal If so the path to a longterm engagement awaits.


Synergy Management Group our boutique consulting firm is on the cusp of greatness and we need a visionary like you to lead the charge. Were seeking a Managing Director of Growth and Strategic Business Development with 10 years of partnerlevel management consulting experience from the ranks of industry giants like McKinsey BCG or Bain.



Key Responsibilities:


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of seniorlevel experience within the management consulting and private equity industry at toptier or boutique firms (e.g. McKinsey Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company KPMG PwC Deloitte Blackstone KKR Carlyle Sequoia Kleiner Perkins Accel Goldman Sachs J.P. Morgan Morgan Stanley).

  • Extensive network and relationships within the institutional investor ecosystem particularly in the private equity and venture capital sectors.

  • Proven track record of identifying and closing $50K$1M consulting engagements with institutional investors.

  • Strong business development skills with the ability to convert leads into successful client engagements.

  • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.


Compensation:

  • This is a remote commissiononly contract position. Compensation is based solely on successfully closing new client engagements for SMG as a percentage of new client retainers which range from $50K to $1M per engagement.

  • For engagement supervision of new client engagements that you generate compensation will be $125$500 per hour.

  • Upon successfully closing several new client engagements compensation can transition to a more traditional model (e.g. base salary/monthly retainer commission).

  • You will be expected to successfully close a $50K consulting engagement with a new client within the first 30 days of joining Synergy Management Group leveraging your existing network and relationships within the institutional investor (private equity & venture capital) industry.

  • Immediate availability to start.
