Business Data Analyst

The Business Data Analyst will be instrumental in interpreting data and turning it into information which can offer ways to improve a business thus affecting business decisions. The role requires the analyst to gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends. Once data has been gathered and interpreted the analyst will report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the wider business/relevant colleagues.

• Collecting and interpreting data from multiple sources including sales figures market research logistics or transportation costs.
• Analyzing results identifying patterns and trends in complex data sets.
• Working alongside teams within the business or management to establish business needs.
• Defining new data collection and analysis processes.
• Creating reports that visualize data insights in a clear and compelling way to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
• Utilizing statistical tools to interpret data sets paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
• Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends patterns and predictions using relevant data.
• Implementing and maintaining databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions.
• Monitoring and auditing data quality.
• Liaising with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.

• Bachelors degree in Analytics Computer Science Statistics Information Management or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
• Strong knowledge in generating process documentation and reports.
• Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection analysis distribution etc.).
• Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies.
