Aluminium Estimation Engineer - Coimbatore

1. Project Evaluation:

Review project specifications architectural drawings and other relevant documents to understand project requirements.

Conduct site visits or consultations as needed to gather additional information and assess project scope.

2. Cost Estimation:

Utilize your knowledge of aluminium materials fabrication processes and construction techniques to develop accurate cost estimates for aluminiumbased projects.

Analyze project blueprints and designs to determine quantities of materials required for fabrication and installation.

Evaluate labor costs equipment expenses and other projectrelated expenses to provide comprehensive cost estimates.

3. Vendor Management:

Liaise with aluminium suppliers subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Negotiate pricing agreements and establish relationships with reliable suppliers to optimize project costs.

4. Budget Planning:

Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to develop project budgets that reflect accurate cost estimates and profitability targets.

Identify costsaving opportunities and value engineering solutions to maximize project efficiency without compromising quality.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare detailed cost estimates including itemized breakdowns of material costs labor expenses and overheads.

Maintain accurate records of project estimates revisions and cost variations throughout the project lifecycle.

Generate reports and presentations to communicate cost estimates project budgets and financial analyses to stakeholders.

6. Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends market prices and technological advancements in aluminium fabrication and construction.

Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the estimation process.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field with 3 to 5 years of experience.

Proven experience in aluminium estimation or a similar role within the construction industry preferably in the field of doors and windows.

Indepth knowledge of aluminium materials fabrication methods and industry standards.

Proficiency in cost estimation techniques quantity takeoff software and spreadsheet applications.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex project requirements and specifications.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and external stakeholders.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications related to cost estimation such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Estimating Professional (CEP).

Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and construction management systems.

Experience with value engineering and cost optimization techniques.

Knowledge of local building codes regulations and permitting processes related to aluminium construction projects.
