Senior Research Scientist Biology

Job Responsibilities

• Design execute and independently run biochemical and biology experiments
• Critically analyze interpret and present data to the team
• Collaborate with senior researchers) to develop optimize validate and automate biochemical and cellular assays to characterize small molecules inhibitors for hitfinding hittolead and leadoptimization
• Communicate ideas and results to internal and external parties in verbal written and presentation formats
• Establish cellular models of disease and execute assays to evaluate drug activity and mechanism of action

Key Qualifications

• PhD in biology or related fields with an emphasis on biochemistry cell biology and molecular biology
• Demonstrated experience with biochemical and cell culture assays development validation and miniaturisation for primary screen utilising different technologies (ex: SPA HTRF Alpha screen Nano BRET LANCE etc.)
• Laboratory techniques such as ELISA western blots immunofluorescence qPCR and gene expression
• To perform enzymatic assays and MOA studies (mechanism of action) for lead compounds
• Understanding of Enzymology including enzyme kinetics.
• Strong ability to analyze and communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
