Senior Piping Stress Engineer

Pipe Stress Analysis: Perform stress analysis on piping systems using software tools to assess the impact of thermal pressure and other loads. Ensure compliance with industry codes standards and regulations (e.g. ASME B31.1 ASME B31.3 API etc.). Identify and mitigate potential issues related to pipe flexibility support design and equipment loads. Design Support: Collaborate with piping designers and other engineering disciplines to optimize the layout and design of piping systems. Provide guidance on pipe routing support placement and equipment nozzle loadings. Load Cases and Conditions: Define and analyze various load cases including thermal expansion equipment settlement wind seismic and other external forces. Assess the impact of transient conditions such as startup and shutdown processes. Support Selection and Design: Specify and design pipe supports and restraints to ensure proper pipe alignment and support under different operating conditions. Evaluate the effects of support settlements and thermal movements on the overall system. Material Selection: Work with material engineers to select appropriate materials for piping components based on the systems requirements and compatibility. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed stress analysis reports including recommendations for design changes or modifications to meet safety and reliability standards. Maintain accurate documentation of stress analysis calculations and results.

Code Compliance: Stay updated on industry codes and standards and ensure that designs and analyses comply with relevant regulations.
