Responsibilities:

The Backend Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development and leadership of Next Generation Enterprise solutions for Global eCommerce.

This position involves handson development as well as leading the development efforts ensuring application architecture meets high performance scalability and availability standards.

Participating in system planning and deployment ensuring compliance with software standards.

Driving technical vision and influencing product roadmap.

Implementing largescale complex crossfunctional projects.

Leading the discovery phase of large projects to develop highlevel designs.

Supervising crossfunctional groups of engineers including offshore associates.

Directing root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.

Documenting testing and maintenance of application corrections and improvements.

Influencing decisions building consensus and proactively resolving conflicts.

Supporting business objectives and ensuring the fulfilment of business needs.

Requirements:

7 years of experience in eCommerce Software development.

7 years of programming experience in architecting highly scalable and performing Web Applications.

5 years of experience with OpenSource technologies.

4 years of experience in developing/architecting high transaction high throughput systems.

2 years of experience with integrating 3rd party solutions in existing architecture.

2 years of experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model.

Proficiency in Java OOPS concepts Data Structures (Strong) NoSQL (preferably Cassandra) Kafka RDBMS Designing and building Rest API.
