Other key responsibilities are: Strategic • Evaluate and analyse market trends and recommend systems/new technologies to higher management that will allow QR to provide an optimal customer experience, providing for long term sustainable growth. • Provide leadership and input for all strategic IFE plan implementation process, of all onboard IFE products. • Spearhead implementation and manage technical projects in order to enhance customer satisfaction. • Promoting the IFE product for greater awareness. internally and externally. • Set KPls and thresholds to drive team performance and an added value IFE service. • Accountable for planning and handling IFE budget. Monthly, yearly spreadsheet creation. Checking and approving invoices. • Setting output targets for program initiatives and managing collective and individual performance towards these targets. • Provide senior level understanding of the region in regards to content including sensitivity towards culture and religious content. Operational • Handle IFE content, software and media integration with a budget of US$32m. • Evaluate the various IFE systems available in the market, participate in the RFP process and compile a detailed report, with assistance from T P, for recommendation to higher management. Staying ahead of trends to ensure QR is top of the IFE chain. • Work with the various OEMs and CSPs to ensure a smooth day to day timely operation. • Manage the QE/Amiri Inflight entertainment operations. • Source new IFE services, and negotiate with IFE suppliers / IFE content suppliers for new services and products required. • Evaluate existing content on a monthly basis and identifying areas for improvement to offer content that will satisfy the varying taste of passengers. • Write, script and produce monthly promos for internal and external use. • Develop synergies between regional suppliers and entities to ensure greater value for money. • Develop and maintain content guidelines. • Oversee creation of new GUI for continuous customer satisfaction. Management of 20 complex IFE systems and technical know-how systems. • Liaise with up to 40 suppliers to ensure optimal service and product is delivered. • Control programming of over 7500 content for the OryxOne system, managing press reader and the 6000 plus content, and monthly integration of media to the various OEM's. • Look after the headset operation including recycling • Project manage delivery deadlines for content and media integration. • Create and manage the OryxOne app and other apps. • Identify present fleet issues and identify improvements. • Manage iPad services, streaming services and Onboard games management. • Undertaking FSATS and SSRM for approval of Software • Developing if user interface design flows and passenger behavior to ensure innovative and a simple user interface for passengers of all a es. Qualifications About You We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Product Development & Design Team • Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential. • 10+ years of job-related experience • Extensive knowledge of IFE hardware systems and how they work. • Technical know-how of implementing changes on aircraft (Service Bulletins) • Understanding encoding and media integration • Implicate understanding of movie, TV and audio licensing. • GUI design/ Pax GUI flow chart/ channel lineup.
