Electronics software Engineer

In this role will support the development of a small drone as an electronics software engineer. He/she will be in charge of preparing test assemblies with various video and IR cameras and sensors and a Raspberry Pi and writing the necessary software for data acquisition sensing and sensor parameters adjustment.

Tasks

• Prepare electronic system arrangements for a small drone integrating video and IR cameras sensors and a Raspberry Pi for data processing.
• Assemble and configure test setups with various cameras sensors and a Raspberry Pi to validate electronic systems and components.
• Write software code for data acquisition sensor interfacing and adjusting parameters on the Raspberry Pi.
• Utilize online Git repositories for version control and collaborative code development.
• Develop and implement algorithms for sensor data processing.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems to ensure functionality reliability and performance meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team using Git repositories to track and address electronicrelated issues.
• Documentation: maintain documentation of the system being assembled and usage of versioncontrolled repositories for traceability of the software developments.
• Collaboration: work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers software developers and project managers utilizing Git repositories for collaborative code management.
• Assist in project planning by providing input on timelines resource requirements and milestones related to electronics development.
• Coordinate with the team through Git repositories to manage projectrelated code and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Handson experience with software development for RaspberryPi 4 related to connection and interaction with different sensors and cameras.
• Handson experience with various sensors cameras and singleboard computers particularly Raspberry Pi.
• Familiarity with using Git repositories for code version control and collaboration.
• Proven experience in electronics design and development especially in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python C/C and familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience with software development for embedded systems and utilizing Git repositories for collaborative coding.
• Experience with OpenCV and V4L2.
• Experience with testing and troubleshooting electronic systems.
• Knowledge of electronic components circuit design and PCB layout is a plus.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners utilizing Git repositories for efficient code collaboration.
• Proficient in English to be the working language. Spanish is considered a plus.
• Analytical and problemsolving skills to address challenges related to electronic systems and software development.
• Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to enhance drone electronics functionality.
• Understanding of project management principles and the ability to contribute to project planning and execution including using Git repositories for code management
