Design develop and maintain business intelligence solutions that fit the needs of Actuarial stakeholders. These solutions may involve technical design and development within SQL Server Snowflake Power BI Report Builder Excel Access Python and other like software.

This role will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements of reports and visualizations that provide valueadd analytics structured financial reporting deliverables and automation of controls and validations. Requirements will be translated into an effective design within the appropriate software with special attention paid to efficiency and optimization of the solution. The role will then gain approval for the design and work to implement with feedback from stakeholders prior to elevation for use. These solutions will provide actionable insights to business users and drive decision making within the Actuarial function.

Additional responsibilities include formal documentation of solution design including technical specifications data dictionaries testing/validation evidence and user guides. Ongoing maintenance and performance tuning of existing solutions is also required.

Desired Skills

Knowledge of Insurance Products and Actuarial Processes.

An Understanding of Historical Insurance and Financial Reporting Data.

Experience Implementing ETL procedures in SQL or Snowflake.

Expertise Staging Data for consumption in visualization tools.

Experience Sourcing Transforming and Visualizing Data in Power BI. Preferred additional experience in Report Builder.

Knowledge of Power BI Service Environments Semantic Models Elevation Procedures and Apps.

Data Storage and Archive Scripting

Additional technical skills utilizing tools such as Alteryx R Python or Tableau are preferred.

Ability to adapt to new enduser requirements and iterate on existing solution designs with user feedback.

Strong general problemsolving skills and sense of curiosity.

Ability to research and recommend solutions unique to existing skill/softwareset.
