Operations Engineer II

Job Title: Operations Engineer II Number of Positions: 1 Duties: As an Operations Engineer your primary role will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of systems and processes within an organization. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to identify and implement improvements troubleshoot issues and optimize operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining systems analyzing data and implementing automation solutions. Monitor the performance and availability of systems applications and infrastructure to ensure optimal operation. Identify and investigate any operational issues or anomalies and work with relevant teams to resolve them promptly. Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline operational processes and reduce manual effort. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and analyze data identify trends and provide insights for process improvement. Design implement and maintain monitoring systems and tools to proactively identify potential issues and ensure system stability. Create and maintain documentation including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles. Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing impact on operations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security regulatory and operational requirements. Collaborate with software developers network engineers and system administrators to optimize system performance and reliability. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders. Skills: Minimum of 36 years of experience with strong analytical and problemsolving skills ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions. Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana Prometheus and Cloudwatch. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash for automation and data analysis. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and their services. Familiarity with orchestrating tool such as Kubernetes. Knowledge of networking principles and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP). Understanding of security principles and best practices in operational environments. Experience with tools (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Concourse) is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and willingness to continuously learn and improve. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ITIL AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are preferred. Certifications & Licenses: as Nagios Zabbix or Prometheus.
