Procurement Lead

What we are looking for

The Procurement Manager will oversee all approved company purchases with the guidance of the Finance Director. S/he will ensure all purchases are of high quality within budget and adhere to the procurement policy.

What does the job involve

Procurement Oversight

• Ensure all purchases are competitively priced and of high quality.
• Ensure that the procurement process is followed with all company purchases.
• Set up a network of suppliers/vendors for recurring services based on best practices and price.
• Ensure contracts are in place invoices and receipts are provided for all company purchases.
• Raise and document any concerns with the procurement process with the Finance Director.
• Ensure effective and timely distribution of products to all branches.

Quality Assurance

• Enhance and/or develop quality assurance protocols for all recurrent company purchases.
• Oversee the quality assurance protocols with the support of relevant departments.
• Conduct site visits for potential manufacturers of consumable products.

Leadership

• Ensure all procurement requests go through the online portal.
• Oversee the departmental KPIs ensuring effective reporting and achievement of objectives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members fostering their professional development.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment inline with our core values.
• Ensure effective communication across different team members and alignment with departmental plans and objectives

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Manage the relationship with vendors and other stakeholders with regards to procurement.
• Lead the negotiation process with new and existing vendors ensuring adherence to our values and ensuring quality and price are competitive.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in procurement.
• Bachelors in procurement and logistics or any other relevant course.
• Technologically savvy.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
• Experience managing a young team.
• Experience sticking to deliverables and meeting deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
