Open Position: Legal Manager (Financial Services)

A Financial Services company is hiring Legal Manager to join them in their Kuala Lumpur office.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Management and staff on all undertakings with potential legal impact including but not limited to terms of contract major claims litigation disputes corporate exercises and transactions.
  
• Provide management advisory relating to legal issues/matters.
  
• Advise on documentation pertaining to life insurance policies to render legal advice in relation to new products forms guidelines and procedures.
  
• Contribute towards risk management from all aspects and minimize potential risks that the Company may be exposed to.
  
• Vetting and drafting of contracts and other documents which have legal implications to the company and ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
  
• Work closely with key stakeholders across the business department to ensure contract management activities are up to date.
  
• Manage and continuously improve the overall contract management system including advising contractual strategies and accordingly drafting reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts and contract templates.
  
• Conduct Legal research to support information and cases provided to Business.
  
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and government agencies.
  
• Provide knowledge sharing on legalrelated issues/laws internally.
