Responsibilities
Assist in the repair and maintenance of laptop and desktop computers and peripherals, iPhones, and iPads. This includes both software and hardware maintenance.
Provide desktop support and excellent customer service to approximately 150 employees and contractors.
Exhibit attention to detail when troubleshooting technical issues, when creating documentation, and following through on providing solutions.
Set up IT equipment in office spaces.
Assist in performing the periodic inventory of all the agency's tagged equipment.
Assist employees in using conference room technology and setting up Webex or Microsoft Teams meetings.
Assist in performing web updates in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools, Windows 10, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Enrolled in a related information technology degree or certificate program at a local college. Related certifications, such as CompTIA, are helpful but not required for this position.
Available to complete a 6-month internship working a minimum of 20 hours/week around school schedule during THEC/TSAC business hours
Performs desktop computer support assignments, with an emphasis on desktop computer problem resolution. Installs a variety of desktop computer hardware and software and provides technical and customer support for these products. Provides customer support to both on-site and remote users. Analyzes users' system problems and provides solutions. Works with teams of analysts, programmers, and users in application development environments. Tests and may write the technical documentation prepared for software or hardware installation. Primary skill set comprises Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft, Novell and Unix operating systems. Secondary skill set comprises other office automation tools and the ability to identify and correct hardware malfunctions. Requires a minimum of 1year of current experience in this job class with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
