Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Marketing Coordinator to join their team.



Reporting to the Marketing Manger, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of event and marketing projects that build Sydney and NSW s appeal as Australia s premier tourism and major events destination. This role works closely with a large number of events and event stakeholders to manage the delivery of marketing investment agreements. Also supporting the development and implementation of event, destination and partner campaigns by providing a range of professional general marketing administrative and support services such as preparing creative assets, content or trafficking approvals.



Key Responsibilities:


  1. Support the development and implementation of event and destination marketing projects including preparing creative assets, content or trafficking approvals.
  2. Works closely with event partners to deliver DNSW event contracts and leverage the DNSW consumer brand.
  3. Develops and maintains strong and effective working relationships with event stakeholders and networks to ensure effective communications and quality of service.
  4. Coordinate and administer the ordering, preparation and delivery of the signage plans as part the contracted rights and benefits to ensure effective leverage of DNSW brand across event partnerships.
  5. Works with internal teams to brief and activate DNSW owned channels in support of campaigns and major events.
  6. Maintain and coordinate campaign activity calendars and provide ad-hoc project support across the Consumer Marketing Division ensuring adherence to project management time, cost and quality requirements.
  7. Provide a range of professional general administrative and support services including preparation of campaign galleries and presentations, records management, routine correspondence and meeting coordination to support the efficient operation of the business unit.
  8. Ensure the integrity and consistency of the brand messages, assessing media plans to ensure media strategies and creative executions are effective and appropriate.
  9. Manages campaign and collateral production process and provides ongoing campaign approvals, as well as undertaking post-campaign evaluation.
  10. Contribute to continuous improvement across the Division including reviewing and maintaining work processes and procedures and recommending opportunities for efficiency.
  11. Facilitates the joint development, planning and implementation of advertising and promotional material across the Master Events Calendar (MEC) in consultation with the various stakeholders.


Selection Criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification in marketing, events, tourism or other relevant subject or equivalent experience or skills.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience providing marketing support and the development of marketing campaigns including advertising.
  3. Knowledge of and experience in marketing implementation, including budgeting, production, operations and logistics.
  4. Knowledge of the tourism and events landscape.



On offer is a 12 month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive hourly rate.
