$5000 SIGN-ON BONUS
An immediate opening for a Licensed Journeyman Truck Transport Mechanic to join our team to work on a fleet of garbage trucks specialized for waste handling in a hauling district setting. We do a lot of hydraulics and electrical along with preventative maintenance and minor engine repair. We are looking for a SAFETY-inclined, energetic, autonomous, and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.
We offer top hourly wages and shift incentives, and as this is a union position, you get great benefits and a pension plan. We supply boots, uniforms, and any necessary PPE.
Shift timing: Monday to Friday - 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Hourly rate: $40.00per hour
Requirements
- Red Seal Equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience with earth moving equipment
- 2-3 years with waste experience would be an asset, but not necessary
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests
- Caterpillar & Mack truck experience an asset
- Welding and hydraulic experience are also an asset
- Class 3 would be an asset
